Educate the Youth (ETY) is a Sacramento-based mentorship program dedicated to preparing junior high and high school students for real-world success. We believe in empowering young people to take control of their future by teaching independence, responsibility, and financial literacy — skills that last a lifetime.
Through hands-on workshops and mentorship, ETY connects youth with practical learning experiences in trades such as construction, home improvement, and related technical skills. Our programs also focus on essential life lessons like opening a bank account, managing money, and developing professional habits that lead to meaningful employment and self-sufficiency.
The construction and trade industries are facing a growing shortage of skilled workers. As experienced professionals retire, new generations must step up to fill these vital roles that keep our communities strong. ETY helps bridge that gap — inspiring youth to see the trades not just as jobs, but as powerful, rewarding career paths that build stability, confidence, and pride.
